Entry Requirements Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor in Civil Engineering. Civil engineering, the profession of designing and executing structural works that serve the general public. This includes infrastructure such as airports, bridges, buildings, canals, dams, pipelines, power plants, railways, roads, sewage systems, and more.
Admission Requirements for Civil Engineering
1. Bachelor in Civil Engineering
For Form Six Applicants: Two principal passes in Physics and Advanced Mathematics An applicant must have at least a pass in Basic Mathematics and Physics at O – Level.
For Holders of Ordinary Diploma or Equivalent Qualifications: Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Civil Engineering, Mining, Water Supply and Sanitation, Highway, Transportation, Civil and Irrigation, civil and Community Development Engineering with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0 with at least four passes in non-religious subjects at O-Level including Basic Mathematics.
2. Ordinary Diploma in Civil Engineering
Entry Requirement: Qualified applicants should be holders of Certificate of at least Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum of four (4) passes of “D” grades in Physics or Engineering Science, Mathematics, Chemistry or Geography, and English.
OR Holder of Pre-technology certificate must have completed Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) and National Vocational Awards (NVA) Level III/Grade Test I.
3. Basic Technician Certificate in Civil Engineering
Holders of Certificate of secondary Education Examination (CSCEE) with at least four (4) relevant passes( i.e. D grade or higher) in the following subjects: Physics/Engineering science, Mathematics, Chemistry and English or possession of at least NTA level III of relevant trade and completion of O-level.
