TEACHING VACANCY
Hermon Boys’ Secondary School invites applications from qualified Tanzanian candidates for immediate employment in the following teaching positions:
1. Physics and Chemistry Teacher (1 Post)
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
• Conduct classroom teaching in Physics and Chemistry according to the schooltimetable.
• Organize and supervise practical sessions.
• Provide academic consultation to students.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ performance.
• Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
2. Agriculture and Biology Teacher (1 Post)
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
• Conduct classroom teaching in Agriculture and Biology as per the timetable.
• Organize and supervise laboratory and fieldwork sessions.
• Provide academic consultation to students.
• Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
3. Mathematics and Business Studies Teacher (1 Post)
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
• Conduct classroom teaching in Mathematics and Business Studies as per the timetable.
• Organize and supervise practical sessions where applicable.
• Provide academic consultation to students.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ performance.
• Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Candidates must have graduated in 2024 or 2025.
• Applicants who are expected to graduate in 2025 may apply with provisional results (minimum GPA of 3.8 for the first five semesters).
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, database management, website and online system control, and internet usage.
