Entry requirements for Health and Allied Sciences

These programs are all under the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) who awards the qualifications in levels, giving the candidate an opportunity to advance to higher levels depending on competencies. The training combines both theory and practical, and the curriculum followed is competence based.

Allied Health is a term used to identify a cluster of healthcare professions and covers as many as one hundred occupational titles, exclusive of physicians, nurses and a handful of others; they all together assist confidently in implementing technology-driven medical procedures.

With the enormous and continuous development of the health-care industry in the country by the Government and other stakeholders, graduates are guaranteed of being in high demand within the country and beyond as medical technologists.

Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects.

Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery

The applicant should hold a Certificate Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least Four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.
